To be eligible to apply, you must be in attendance at university by the application deadline date.
Due to the exceptionally high number of applications received this year, the scheme is oversubscribed and unfortunately, not all applicants will receive an award. Please note that the Trust will continue to prioritise applications from families in greatest financial need (those with annual household incomes below £50,000 and particularly those with incomes below £30,000).

How to apply
To apply, you must already be at university or starting university in September/October 2026.
Applications will open on 1 August 2026.

Closing date
The deadline is 1 October, 5pm.
Decisions
We aim to make decisions on applications within four to six weeks after the closing date. Decisions on applications are taken by the Trustees of the Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust. All decisions are final.
Successful applicants will receive payments for their remaining time at university. We do not backdate payments for any time at university prior to your application.
