Since its foundation in 1925, the Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust has been providing financial support for low-income families in the grocery and pharmacy trades.
With the importance of education at the heart of the Trust, it now offers educational support from early school years to university through a range of different schemes. By contributing to the educational costs of students from reception up to PhD level, the Trust can help them reach their potential.
The School Essentials Grant aims to reduce the financial hardship parents face in the trades we support, helping families purchase school necessities required for the start of term.
Bursaries for Vocational, Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies aim to help students with costs associated with college and university attendance such as travel, study equipment, tuition fees, accommodation or living expenses.
Administration of the Trust is provided by a team of staff from the Leverhulme Trust, which covers grant administration, communications, finance and investment. The Assistant Director of Finance is responsible to the Trustees for the general management of the Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust. The Grants and Operations Lead oversees day-to-day activity.
