Undergraduate Bursary applications are now open

The Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust (LTCT) has announced that applications for its Undergraduate Bursary scheme are now open

The scheme provides financial support to full-time undergraduate students whose parent, carer or spouse works in the grocery, pharmacy or commercial travelling professions. Students who work in one of these industries themselves may also apply.

Successful applicants can receive up to £3,000 per year towards the costs of attending university. The bursary can be used for tuition fees, accommodation, living expenses, study materials, equipment and other reasonable higher education costs.

With the cost of attending university continuing to rise, the scheme aims to reduce financial pressure on students and their families and help ensure that financial circumstances do not prevent students from reaching their academic potential.

Over the last five years, LTCT has awarded more than 1,600 undergraduate bursaries across more than 150 universities and higher education institutions throughout the UK. Together with its postgraduate bursary programme, the Trust has distributed more than £10.7 million in financial support to students during this period.

Applications close on 1 October at 5pm.
